PV Array Overshading

When even a small portion of a photovoltaic cell, module, or array is shaded, while the remainder is in sunlight, the output falls dramatically due to internal 'short-circuiting'. Therefore it is extremely important that a PV installation is not shaded at all by trees, architectural features or other permanent obstructions.

An initial site visit will determine an optimum position for your system to avoid any architectural overshading and having any overhanging trees cut back regularly will improve the output performance of your PV generation system considerably.
